TG Omori is a popular Nigerian music director whose full name is Thankgod Omori Jesam. He was born on the 8th of June 1995. According to the available information, he is a native of Cross River State in the South-South region of Nigeria.

 

Although, he was born and raised in the Agungi area in Lekki, Lagos State. 

 

TG Omori grew up together with siblings who are from a middle-class family.

From an early age, TG Omori has had an interest in cinematography because he was part of his church’s drama group and was responsible for directing stage plays both in his school and church.

Career

Immediately after TG Omori graduated from film school, he worked with Red Art Group as a scriptwriter. He was able to learn how to use the digital camera and the mechanics of film editing with the art group. 

 

TG Omori created YouTube content and other online platforms to show off his skills and also equip himself as a cinematographer. 

 

At the age of 20, he was one of the youngest professional filmmakers in Nigeria. He made little income before he had his first big break in 2015 immediately after he was introduced to a group that gave him a contract.

 

A few days later, TG Omori shot a video for an upcoming artist, Minz, and was paid N700,000 to shoot the music video for Aunty Patricia, a song by Minz.

 

As time went by, his creativity grew, and he was able to land several projects with artists like Mayorkun, Dremo, Dj ECool, and Jimmi Abduls between 2016 and 2017.

 

Since then, TG Omori has been shooting music videos for A-list artists like YCee, for his My Side music video. Likewise, worked with Nigerian rapper and Singer Zlatan.

 

In 2019, TG Omori shot Naira Marley’s Am I A Yahoo Boy music video. Also shot King Perry’s Murder music video. Both videos were released the same week and garnered his fame and publicity.

 

He shot other popular music videos like Olamide for his music video Oil and Gas, and Wizkid’s Totori, and had the opportunity to work with other top Nigerian musicians like Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Timaya, and Dbanj.

 

In 2019, TG Omori shot Naira Marley’s Soapy music video.

 

TG Omori shot C Kay’s hit song, Love Nwantiti music video in 2021 which got over 34 million views in the first month of release on popular video streaming platform, YouTube.

 

In 2022, TG Omori worked with several Nigerian musicians including Asake. He directed most of his music videos like the videos of Sungba, Terminator, Bandana, Peace Be Unto You, and Organize.
